Lunchbox Learning - Sustainability and Business

The Yarra City Council hosts monthly Lunchbox Learning sessions to help local businesses tackle a range of subjects necessary to successfully grow their operations.

Jane Stewart presented a session titled Sustainability and Business on the 28th September 2018 at the Bargoonga Nganjin, North Fitzroy Library (incidentally a 6 Star Green Rated Building). It was a great session with lots of different participants representing businesses ranging from 1 local person - to 20,000 internationally.

The session set out to explore the complex issues facing businesses today and to challenge participants to take a new approach based around adaptive thinking and responsible action. Over the one hour lunch session Jane covered the following topics;

  • Changing business world
  • Changing stakeholder expectations
  • Best practice examples from leading businesses
  • Introduction to a new business management approach - Adaptive Sustainability
  • Steps to maximise your sustainable business activity.

Each participant received a copy of the Ebook titled "Introduction to Adaptive Sustainability" for some light reading after the session.

If you would like to learn more about this new business management approach or to receive a copy of the Ebook please contact Jane Stewart at jane@sustain-ability-int.com
