Mindsafe - our new mental health wellbeing program

The World Health Organisation defines mental health as a state of well-being in which every individual is able to realise his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.
Research by the Victorian Workplace Mental Wellbeing Collaboration has shown that employees who experience positive states and positive psychological health are more likely to be selfmotivated, persist in the face of challenge, go the extra mile, and help colleagues achieve organisational goals.  This research also shows that these high-functioning employees not only contribute to their own mental well-being but significantly contribute to the organisation’s bottom line.

For this reason, we think it's time that all people start to develop personal mastery in mental vitality so that they are equipped to live their life happily and handle situations, both pleasant and unpleasant, as they arise in a calm, rational and composed way.

Mindsafe is a new and innovative approach to building this type of mental vitality and enables us all to become better at dealing with the challenges of relating to our family, building interpersonal relationships and making a living. Its goal is to build the knowledge and skills of all people to discover and utilise their own potential, cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and contribute positively to their family, business and community.

Our concentration is not on mental pathology but rather on strengthening and building the existing and often unknown powers that exist within each individual.  These powers once exercised and developed constructively, transform an individual's relationship with themselves, others and the world around them. This transformation results in a wholehearted responsiveness which is the foremost expression of mental vitality.

We are really excited to launch the Mindsafe training programs into workplaces across Australia and will keep you up to date with our progress and success.
